Police ID driver of Bugatti Veyron which plunged into lake
Friday the 13th, 2010: Associated press: Police have revealed the identity of the owner and driver of a million-dollar French sports car that he accidentally veered into a salt marsh. The Lufkin Daily News reports police records in La Marque identified 34-year-old Andy House of Lufkin as the driver of the 2006 Bugatti Veyron EB. Police said the car veered off an Interstate 45 frontage road and into the marsh Wednesday afternoon, becoming half-submerged in the brine. House wasn't injured.
Here is a Video of the vehicle in the marsh on YouTube.
Here is another article on the incident: Car owner takes sport's car plunge into lake in stride
This is yet another instance which provide justification for Banning cell phone use while driving. (The driver stated he dropped his cell phone. Doesn't that vehicle have Bluetooth??!)
If you got a chance to see the 'live' video of the run off the road you should have noted that the reaction of the folks taking the video is somewhat 'premature'. Below is a zoom in on the first frame where you can hear them yelling a reaction. What is it that they reacting to? Perception/reaction requires anywhere from 1-2 seconds after an event. So what is the 'event' 1-2 seconds before THIS frame which produced the loud reaction??? There is really nothing unusual in THIS frame???
