"Proofiness": Fibbing with Numbers

Sept 19, 2010: A new book by Chrales Seife is called "Proofiness - The Dark Arts of Mathematical Deception". Like its' cousin, "Truthiness", made popular by Stephen Colbert and the Word of the Year in 2005, "Proofiness" is the numerical cousin defined as

• “the art of using bogus mathematical arguments to prove something that you know in your heart is true — even when it’s not.”
