WARNING to Norton AV SONAR users

Post by brian »

WARNING: if you use Norton AV and were duped into the 'free trial' of SONAR check this out and search the web.
You will find the 'brilliant folks' at Norton are wreaking havoc on many small software vendors.
Essentially the program wipes out software it doesn't know about.
your program simply doesn't work, no warning.
SO how does Norton find out about the software?
Well you PAY Norton to let them know you exist.
Great business model!
Please note we WILL NOT support any issues you may have with SONAR.
Disable it, delete it, ...send the 'Big Brother' software back to Norton and support other non-predatory anti-virus software vendors.

Or

April 2012: When updating you may get a message from Norton Sonar.
You need to tell Sonar to ignore their incorrect false/positive on our programs in order to use our programs.
mgraphic08.exe does not have a bug or virus.
