ONLY 31 states have Primary Seat Belt Laws??

Post by brian »

June 2010: NHTSA reported that Kansas joined 30 other states for enacting a Primary Seat Belt law.
Primary seat belt laws enable police officers to stop and ticket the driver of any passenger car if either the driver or front seat passenger is observed not wearing a seat belt. This law also applies to anyone under age 18. Seat belt use is the most effective protection against serious crash injuries, reducing the risk by 50 percent.
The surprise of the announcement is that there are ONLY 31 states with such laws??!!
