Where can I find bus acceleration/deceleration data?

Post by brian »

Q: Where can I find bus acceleration/deceleration data?
A: The Washington Association of Technical Accident Investigators (WATAI) ran some tests in 2003.
Their 2003 Bus Testing CD is now available.
"All the data from our bus testing conducted at our 2003 fall conference is now compiled into one CD. The buses were tested for acceleration and deceleration capabilities. Testing included several different coaches including a 35 and 40-foot Gillig, a 60-foot articulated New Flyer, a 40-foot “low-profile” coach, and a 60-foot articulated “low-profile” coach. Includes 5th wheel, Stalker radar, and Accelerometer data, along with vehicle work-ups and specs. Cost: $50 dollars for non-members; $10 dollars for members. info@watai.ws"
