Where can i find the CRASH3 tables?

Post by brian »

Q: I am just writing about differences in AiDamage and CRASH3, and wondered about the tables with vehicle attributes (Xf and Stiffness coefficients) - any ideas where I can find an up to date version CRASH3 uses in its program?

A: I thought it'd be a quick search of this forum. But since it took a few searches (It finally came up with a search in upper right corner of the forum for 'CRASH3 Tables')
I add the following links:
  • The CRASH2 and then the updated CRASH3 tables for specifications and crush coefficients are contained in the thread Where can I find the RICSAC crush measurements?
    • Please be sure to read our comments on the questionable update of CRASH3 by Monk/Guenther (which form the basis for the 'current' tables)
You can also get the CRASH3 tables from the CRASH3 Technical manual (8 megs PDF)
Also NOTE: Most users use custom crush coefficients. See the How can I calculate CRASH A & B Coefficients?
