Ford $18M Sudden Acceleration verdict overturned!
Mar 15, 2010: Yes, you read that correctly! FORD. Not Toyota. Other vehicle manufacturers have suits against them which claim mysterious causes of unintended acceleration. And we are extremely skeptical of the over-hyped Toyota’s Gone Wild press of the past year. We even have a separate thread about the crazed Toyota Turmoil News
So when a court overturns crazy junk science electromagnetic interference claims, we are pleased to see reason and logic triumph lawyer fed hysteria.
Today on Overlawyered.com they announced that Update: South Carolina $18M sudden acceleration verdict reversed
Apparently the court unanimously reversed the junk-science testimony theorizing that electromagnetic interference with the cruise control caused the sudden acceleration.
