Status area B of the Grid Edit Mode Figure 1) is located just above the main grid and below status area A. This status area includes commands, additional information on the current field, and many other items of interest.

Delete Card, Comment In/Out, used to delete or comment in or out smac input cards. You can remove an option by deleting the card associated with the option, or comment out the card. Then to turn the option back on, you can simply comment the card back in.
Insert Comment comment cards can be inserted in the msmac input deck to permit placing note and comments in the input stream for your use. These cards are ignored by the msmac program.
Card Helper when you press the Card Helper button, the Card Helper dropdown list appears (Figure 82). This is the same Card Helper used when you Insert a new card. Rather than have to remember what msmac Input card certain inputs are on, you simply scroll through the card Helper list and pick the appropriate input card.
Help this brings up the msmac Help file.
o Please also note that pressing the F1 Key brings up the Help File at the input card page which corresponds with the current msmac input. For example, move your mouse to card 3, press F1, and the description for msmac Input Card 3 in the msmac Manual will appear.
Lock Si5 use this command if you do not want to make any further changes to the msmac input card (the si5 card).
B/U this saves the current SMAC Input card (si5). To backup the project, including input and/or output files, please use the File->Backup Command.
Restore an adjunct to the B/U key, this can be used to restore a previously saved input file.
Prior Card, Next card use to move focus to next or prior msmac input card
Insert Card w/Helper procedure to insert new cards
o To insert a new card, do one of the following:
§ Click on the Insert card w/Helper
card or the
button
§ This will bring up the Card helper Dialog (Figure 82).
§ Move the slider bar until you see the card you wish to insert
§ Double click on the card and it will automatically insert the card
Manual Insert by Card/Seq another procedure to insert new cards
o Simply insert the card number
and sequence number in the area to the right of the button,
o and then click on the Manual Insert by Card/Seq button
