Import EDSMAC Files

Tools à Import à EDSMAC. The Import of EDSMAC Files is provided to allow for the quick analysis and importing of native EDSMAC input files. There are two options for Importing EDSMAC files:

•      List EDSMAC file

•      Import EDSMAC file.

By selecting either of these menu options you will first be presented with a file open dialog box. From this dialog box you select the file you wish to import. Files with suffix .SI are by default initially selected. You can choose any file with any suffix simply by replacing the *.SI with any other file filter (*.* for example).

 

The List EDSMAC file menu option creates and opens an echo file (EDSMAC.SIO) in the run directory which is a list of the EDSMAC inputs in echo format. The file can be easily printed by clicking on the Print button. The echo format is similar to the format created by the LISTSMA command included with the EDVAP/EDSMAC program.

The Convert EDSMAC file menu option reads and converts an EDSMAC format input file into m-smac input format and opens the new m-smac file in medit. A separate file, EDSMAC.SIO is also created which contains an echo of the EDSMAC inputs (the same file created by the List EDSMAC file option above). The program automatically sets the flags required in m-smac to mimic and therefore produce the same results as the EDSMAC program.
