Options: Defaults tab

The Defaults tab if provided allow you to set the default configuration for the various programs, printers, input and output units and user level. A brief description of the various items is as follows:

 

Default m-smac, smac Graphics (msmacgr) and smac Animation (mGraphics) versions

Provided to specify which versions of the various programs you want to run as the default. The specification of a default program instructs medit which program to run when you click Run on the Quick Access Toolbar or which version of the graphics programs you wish to run direct from m-smac.

Input and Output units

Instruct medit which units you wish to use for any new datasets. The input and output units can also be changed at any time in medit.

Graphics Menu limit

Toggles the presence of menus and titles on the graphics. Can be toggles in pop-up menu.

Menu Limit

Limit of the number of menu items instructions.

Backup Drive

Use this option to set backup drive for archival purposes. To set to a network drive, simply map a network drive to a local drive letter and then anytime you backup/restore it will be to/from the network drive.
