Project Folder Maintenance

Project Folder Maintenance if located in the Tools menu and is a utility which can be used to clean up all output and temporary files in your project directory.

Select Project->Folder maintenance

The folder Maintenance dialog opens up which allows you to select all or only certain file types to clean up the outputs in any project folder. Please be careful to review all the files selected to be sure a file you may want or need is not selected for deletion. Please see the section on file types for The menu items are discussed as follows:

•    Selection Criteria – select (check) the appropriate boxes for what you wish to ‘clean’ up. Be careful not to select the Project Input files, unless you want to delete the project input files.

•    Set Destination Folder – used in combination with Copy these files now or Move these files now, you can copy or move files from the project folder to a temporary location

•    Delete the Selected Files now – Deletes the file. The Use the Recycle Bin is the default and unless you are sure that you want to delete files, use the recycle bin to avoid inadvertently deleting a file.

•    STOP – if during the clean, move or copy operation you decide you want to stop the operation, the STOP button can stop the task in its tracks. But we aware that some of the operations may have already occurred so again, when in doubt, USE THE RECYCLE BIN!
