SMACTHP: Monitoring Acceleration 

The SMACTHP (SMAC Time History Plot) option allows the monitoring of the acceleration  and speed change of  m-smac reconstructions at any arbitrary position on either vehicle. The following is a brief demonstration of the technique used in preparation of a recent SAE paper (SAE 97-0961, "A Reevaluation of the Reference Set of Full Scale Crash Tests").  In the subject paper, to permit an evaluation of a technique to transform speed change information from arbitrary locations to the CG of the vehicle, the SMAC program was used to generate acceleration data for several locations on the vehicle and the CG for comparisons with full-scale test measurements.
