Changes from Prior Versions
We have tried to make the transition from medit16 to medit32 seamless. However there are a few changes which we want you to be aware of so you can get up and running quickly. So as an overview intro before we present in detail the many new and exciting features, the following is a topic list for former/existing users which highlights some of the changes to the overall look and feel of the medit32 interface:

Medit grid
medit now includes a Card Helper (Figure 82), an integrated enhanced card and field descriptions/help file displayed at all times

§ F1 msmac help! Simply press the F1 key to bring up the msmac input manual for the input card selected!
§ User-selectable colors and font sizes for easier viewing and customizable view
Longfilenames!
Yes, you can make your file names more descriptive! This 16bit code has been totally replaced by more robust win32 code which allows longfilenames or Long File Names and a host of other inter-operability with the various Windows API functions,
Fully 'network aware' at all times so you can easily Send / retrieve / share / store files anywhere on your network
Graphical Edit/Graphical Display
Improved and enhanced.
Full screen editing in Graphic mode.
Live real-time response to mouse control of most parameters using the new 'Graphic Widgets'.
Life real-time response to numeric input in all fields, including multi-level-power 'scrolling' of every input factor as you watch the display respond.
Now handles 3 vehicles.
Better zooming and panning control, including 'drag positioning' of the scene.
Overlays of measured grids for placement accuracy to ~1", done by intuitive manipulation of the graphic.
Easy overlay of alternate 'scenes'
One-click 'undo' revert-to-grid (go back to your starting point in editing)
Scalable resizable graphic window, never 'gets lost' under the project screens
Project Files in Project Directory!
In addition to Project files containing all the files related to each of your individual projects, Medit32 now fully supports the location of projects in directories other than the RUN directory.
You can still work with your existing projects in the RUN directory but now the Projects directory has been added to contain ALL files related to a project in a single directory.
Card Edit popup dialogs have been removed.
In place edit and descriptions are improved to avoid the unwieldy popup form issues
Totally rewritten! they now use ZIP files! See the section on Backup/Restore

Charts
A new function in medit to allow you to quickly view and print time history charts
With the simple click of a button you can make AVIs from the smac animation display
Medit can automatically check the Mchenry Software website for updates. When new updates are available, you can download and install them with the simple click of a button.
Print Output Options - Reports
PDF export and WYSIWYG Report Preview have been added!
Full instant WYSIWYG Preview of all reports, including multi-page views.
Report branding - add your letterhead or logo as a Report Header to any report, for better customer presentation.
All reports are fully editable - add commentary, opening cover letters/descriptions.
Insert graphics at any point in any report, with or without explanatory verbiage.
Control of line spacing - single, double, or triple spacing as desired on all reports.
Control of font size and page layout on all reports.
Free-style report naming - create any name you want for any exported report.
Export any report to PDF, RTF, HTML and Text formats.
Report versioning is easily done.
