Card 16, Seq 1 - Impulsive Restraint "Snag" - Veh3

With the addition of the Veh#3/Trailer Option, an additional option to permit snagging Veh#2 & Veh#3/Trailer has been added. The option is specified on m-smac input card 16, sequence 1. To insert input card16, sequence 1, simply indicate 1 in the Sequence Number field of the Insert Command of medit.

"SNAG" Impulsive Restraint Optional Input for snags between vehcicle#2 and optional veh#3/Trailer.

For SNAG, you specify a point in V2 (FSOPO=1,2) and at the start time for the snag (TSBEG) the location of the point specified is determined either in the other vehicle (FSOPO=2) or in space (FSOPO=1). Then an impulsive constraint is applied to the vehicle(s), based on the stiffness AKST, to attempt to minimize the separation of the points during the pulse width (TSWIND).
