Our policy at McHenry Software, Inc. is to continually improve the science of accident reconstruction. To support our continued effort we currently only offer the software in the form of a 1 year renewable license. We could sell you a copy of our software. Then every year or so add new bells and whistles to try to get you to upgrade to the next version. That works best when you're selling a product that performs a specific function, like word processing and/or spreadsheets, etc. However when you purchase a scientific tool, what improvements and/or enhancements are essential and/or which are bells and whistles? And which should be provided immediately and which should be provided only in upgrades? Also, 'selling' our products, aside from the requirement of a much higher cost to you as a user, is an incentive to 'hold back' on enhancements/improvements to 'save' for the next release. We don't believe this is the way to distribute software related to the science of accident reconstruction. With a McHenry Software License we will keep you current on our latest developments in accident reconstruction software as well as improvements and enhancements related to PC architectures and operating systems.
