From the Facebook NAPARS page (and be sure to support NAPARS, JOIN !): Today: When operating in the real world with multiple issues requiring attention, average riders and drivers have often shown an inability to generate the kind of big braking rates we would expect when asked to "stop as rapi...

Re: ABS effects: Friction/Drag Factor Measurements

And another morsel from the NAPARS facebook page and repeated here for non-Facebook types... From the Facebook by NAPARS : Skidding on Wet Pavement Some years back, Frank Carson was kind enough to share a collection of skid tests that included 34 tests on wet pavement. Re: ABS effects: Friction/Drag Factor Measurements

ABS has gotten better over time. Another post from the Facebook NAPARS link: The chart below presenting the relationship between skidding deceleration values friction or drag factor, your choice since they are the same if the wheels are locked), and vehicle drag factor with the Antilock Brake System...

Re: Princess Diana Crash Reconstruction

Recent comment on our Youtube video of the crash : Seriously, which idiot designs tunnel expressways with exposed pillars instead of concrete safety barriers. Idiotic. Poor safety construction standards. Our response: Not sure when that bridge was designed and installed, however it may not have been...
