What is the Calspan Driver study?

in 1974 Rice and Del'Amico published a study entitled

• "An Experimental Study of Automobile Driver Characteristics and Capabilities"

Calspan Report No. ZQ-5208-K-1.

• The study included approximately 100 drivers driving one or two test vehicles in five trails through a continuous course consisting of several incidents requiring driver action for successful completion.
