The following is a preliminary list of enhancements/improvements/etc on Mchenry Software medit3D ver 2,75 update to roll out later this week or next:
3D Graphics:
chart time editing.jpg (14.19 KiB) Viewed 580 times
2D animated and simulated vehicles can now follow the terrain graphically
More extensive animation capabilities (swap vehicle, change colors, etc, slider bar and sequential display, turn on/off, clone)
improvements to animulation option to allow easier editing
Now have drag/drop positioning/repositioning for animated, animulated and simulated vehicles
Clone ability for animations and Grounds
You can have many grounds of different types and reorder them, show/hide, turn on/off, clone, etc
A surface visibility dialog is now available to easily turn on/off visibility (see below)
Improvements in the import and surface cloud type e57 files
larger underlay image sizes now allowed
For msmac3D/2D
Steering Ratio so you can input steering wheel angles instead of only front wheel steer angles
NOCOLL option to ignore interaction between Veh1/2 (so you can simulate variations of steer, etc on a single vehicle recontruction) has been extended to optionally allow/disallow ignoring veh2/3 and/or veh1/2 interaction
Improvements on detection/separation flags to ignore 'proximity' without accelerations
New import/edit/display options for Ground surfaces:

Some additional items (many more, these are just a quick sample)
Multiple exposure options for any and all simulated AND animated vehicles
In this example you see with and without all vehicle multiple exposure which can be turned on/off for any/each vehicle

Couple path follower videos of two vehicle following a path (line in RED) which is optionally displayed. We suggest using the path following to get what approximate steer angle time history is required and then manually enter and adjust that steer angle time history.
In this example we have two vehicles starting at different orientations following the same path (path follower is for veh1, veh2 or both!)
we added some extra acceleration on veh 2 green car) and you'll see it catch up and hit vehicle 1.

We are in the process of expanind our demo projects so you have more ideas and understand the many options of our msmac3D simulation and 3D Graphics programs.
Below are 6 of the Demos:
Sight Distance Demo - includes simulation on cloud surface, view from driver position in the Demo
17th Street Dental Demo - a car launches over a median into the front of a building
we've had this posted up in our forum and we thought 'why haven't we sent that out as a Demo'?
includes cloud surface, billboards for fronts of buildings, trees
Rollover on Cloud Surface - includes simulation on cloud surface,
demonstrates ability to start 2 vehicles in same location with minor changes to see the differences
Car into Tractor Trailer Demo - 2D vehicles can follow 3D terrain
Tractor Trailer and Bus Collision Demo - 2D vehicles can follow 3D terrain
Path Following Driver Demo - path follower demonstration where both vehicles follow a path
and one accelerates to catch the other!
More demos to be added soon!
