June 11, 2010: Gary Lauder didn't like getting a ticket for a rolling stop when there was no traffic. It only generated revenue. It really had nothing to do with safety. So he came up with a mashed-up stop/yield sign for use at intersections where stopping might be considered conditional. Reading “Take Turns,” the sign would urge motorists approaching an intersection from multiple directions to alternate possession of the right-of-way, depending on traffic conditions.
