EDR Non Deployment Event Question

From another forum i generalized and added overall information:
Q: How long will a non deployment event be kept in the module?
A: The answer as it relates to any 2013 or newer vehicle (regardless of manufacturer) is forever
unless
overwritten by another event.
That is addressed in NHTSA Part 563.9(a) & (b).
GM is the ONLY manufacturer that cleared (erased) non-deployment events (after approx. 250 ignition cycles) and starting with the SDM10 (starting in 2009 for some models) that is no longer the case.
