A member posted an announcement of a new custom 3D model resource soon to be launched.
The company, LightPointData already create custom high resolution models and now have developed a method to also create low-poly meshes.
Looking forward to their launch!

They posted up a sample model (A PorscheCayenne2018) in various formats, one which was for SMAC3D models.
  • The model was in DXF which imports directly into MSMAC3D and all told the model, interior and exterior was arppoximately 10 megs...not bad!
So we we had a little fun with it (onroad and offroad simulations).
The 3D Model imported seamlessly and quickly into the msmac3D 3D graphics environment.
More information soon!
  • and note...shadows and reflection coming soon in MSMAC3D!
The sample included simple instruction on how to import into MSMAC 3D Graphics:
  • They include a MSMAC Directions.txt file with the model which has
    • Press WinKey+R and copy this into the Run dialog:
      • C:\MSoft3D\McHenry3DGraphics\McHenry3DGraphics.exe Action=dxf
Note: This is the default installation directory, change as needed
    • When msmac3D starts browse to this folder and press OK
    • Click "Write M3d"
    • Open msmac3D and use the M3D file created to create the vehicle
      • Note: The windows are put on a Glass layer that can be toggled on and off in msmac3D
They did their homework and followed the instructions we've posted a while back:
