Video 'Verbatim: Expert Witness'

Post by MSI »

A NY Times Video under the title Verbatim: Expert Witness referred to a deposition of an Accident Reconstruction 'Expert Witness'
  • (hmmm...why'd they pick on us?)
The 'expert' refuses to make a simple calculation on a calculator of the decimal equivalent of a fraction.
Apparently the expert was so reliant on his computer that he forgot how to use a calculator.

A problem i have with this video reenactment is that folks can get flustered and can't remember simple things
  • (recall Leno's street walk segments where he asks folks simple things (identify a photo, name a politician, etc.) and they had no clue (of course a lot of correct answers were edited out since not as funny)
Obviously when in a deposition or trial and presented as an expert be sure to remember simple fundamentals since an opposing lawyer like the one in this video will have a hey day if and when you slip up.
