If you are running a msmac3D simulation with or without a vehicle rollover, keep in mind that you can speed up the simulation by variations in the
structural nodes inputs.
There are 2 inputs which can be used to speed up your simulation.
- First the Node friction multiplier is set on input card 81 filed 7 & 8
- if you do NOT have a rollover you can turn OFF the node scan by setting the Node fiction coefficient to 0.0
- If you have ONLY 1 vehicle rolling over, simply set the Node Friction Multiplier for that vehicle and set the other vehicle node friction multiplier to 0.0
- Next IF you have a vehicle to vehicle interaction without any ground contact and/or immediate rollover you can set the Start time for the Node scan to > 0.0 seconds
- Pick a time when you expect the vehicle to start the rollover maneuver/interact with the ground
- this speeds up the simulation
